This Apprenticeship is for anyone wishing to work with people with a particular need, such as the disabled or elderly and you will learn practical skills such as completing records for individuals, communications, as well as supporting the care, well-being and protection of individuals.
You will attend College one day a week in term time and the remaining time you will be working for your employer. You will also be visited and assessed in the workplace.

 

What are the entry requirements?

You need 4 GCSEs at grade D or above including Maths and English. You must be employed in a health and social care setting and will be required to complete a CRB check for your employer.

Progression route?

When you have achieved your Intermediate Apprenticeship framework you may be able to progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)

What are the training costs?

It is free ff you are aged 16 to 18 when you start your Apprenticeship Programme, there is no charge to you or your employer as this is fully funded by the government.

If you are aged 19 or above when you start your Intermediate Apprenticeship, your employer will have to be willing to contribute as the Government will only fund part of the costs of your training. This will be discussed and agreed with your employer.

Are there any additional costs?
