About the course:
This qualification is design to help learner to develop the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in adult care environments. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and care procedures. It develops the knowledge and skills required for working in a senior role with adults in adult care environments
Course Structure:
Learners must achieve at least 58 credits to gain this qualification. These are made of 28 credits from the mandatory and a minimum of 30 credits from the optional units.

- Promote health, safety and wellbeing in care settings
- Promote communication in care settings
- Responsibilities of a care worker
- Duty of care in care settings
- Promote equality and inclusion in care settings
Awarding Board: Innovate
Entry Requirement: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, Students wishing to join the course will have to be working or volunteering in a care environment.
Assessment Method: Portfolio of Evidence. This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by awarding body.
Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
Progression Route: Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment in a senior role in the adult care sector. Learner could also progress to further qualifications in management and leadership, either in a generic context or specific to the adult care sector.
Course Mode: Part-time/ Full Time
Duration: Up to 12 Months
Start Dates: Every September /April. For those studying Adult care through the apprenticeship route, there is no set time. Student can start the course at any time.
Course Costs: The course fee is £2,880.00. However, some students may be eligible for the loan facility which may be used to pay for the course. For more information about the loan, feel free to contact us. This fee does not apply to apprenticeship students
