About the course: This qualification is suitable for those who work, or who are looking to work within the adult care sector. It provides learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence in a wide range of job role. The Level 2 Diploma in Care is designed to guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills relating to the adult care workforce. You will learn practical skills such as completing records for individuals, communications, as well as supporting the care, well-being and protection of individuals.

Course Structure:

Learners must achieve at least 46 credits to gain this qualification. These are made of 24 credits from the mandatory and a maximum of 22 credits from the optional units.

Awarding Board: Innovate

Entry Requirement: There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, Students wishing to join the course will have to be working or volunteering in a care environment.

Assessment Method: Portfolio of Evidence. This qualification is internally assessed and internally quality assured by Centre staff and externally quality assured by awarding body.

Qualification: Level 2 Diploma in  Care

Course Mode: Part-time/ Full-time

Duration: Up to 12 months

Progression: Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment within an adult care setting, or to further qualifications such as Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care

Start Dates: Every September /April. For those studying Adult care through the apprenticeship route, there is no set time. Student can start the course at any time.

Course Costs: The course fee is £1,197.00. However, some students may be eligible for the loan facility which may be used to pay for the course. For more information about the loan, feel free to contact us. This fee does not apply to apprenticeship students
